Gwinnett County Board of Education
The Gwinnett County Board of Education is composed of five
citizens elected by voters in five geographic areas of the
county to govern the public school system. Those schools serving
Suwanee residents are located within District II (the North
Gwinnett cluster) and are represented by Dan Seckinger, who
joined the board in January 1995. He is owner/president of
Bartimaeus, Inc., a building specialties commercial contractor.
His current term expires in December 2002.

to read to Suwanee Elementary classes as part of Read Across
America Day. |
Board meetings generally are held at 7 p.m. on the second
Thursday of each month (except in April and June). Meetings
take place at the school systems Lawrenceville East
facility at 723 Hi-Hope Road. Citizens wishing to address
the board should inform the superintendent's office in writing
by noon on the Monday preceding a meeting. A public forum
for individuals not on the agenda is held from 6:30-7 p.m.
