The City of Suwanee staff recently gathered to celebrate another great year and recognize some of its top employees for the year 2018.

The City of Suwanee staff recently gathered to celebrate another great year and recognize some of its top employees for the year 2018. The following employees were nominated by their peers and recognized by City Manager Marty Allen for exemplary service:

Stewardship Champions
Promotes logic, procedure, and safety so that projects and initiatives exhibit Suwanee quality and are successful.

  • Susan VanNus – Budget Analyst
  • Chris Whitson – Public Works

Innovation Champions
Never satisfied with the status quo and always seeking to improve; a creative visionary.

  • Amy Doherty – Events & Outreach Manager
  • Graeme Macolino – Public Works

Results Champions
Champion of results and progress, recognized for achieving a monumental accomplishment in the past year.

  • Robyn O’Donnell – Administrative Coordinator
  • Det. Dawn Zaenglein – Police Department

Teamwork Champions
Works behind the scenes to ensure everyone looks good and Team Suwanee can shine.

  • Sgt. Sam Lauricella – Police Department
  • Kaitlyn Stewart – Police Crime Analyst

Champion of the People
Understands that the actions and initiatives of Team Suwanee affect people and promotes it in his or her actions and influences others to do the same.

  • Adam Edge – Downtown Development Manager
  • Annette Phelps – Deputy Court Clerk

Several members of the Suwanee Police Department were recognized for outstanding work in 2018, including:

Officer of the Year – Ofc. Todd Cribbs
Selected by colleagues for his positive representation of the department.

Supervisor of the Year – Communications Supervisor Lindy Hildebrand
For managing communication and organizing staffing – even when short on personnel – for 24/7 coverage.

Civilian of the Year – Crime Analyst Kaitlyn Stewart
For consistently stepping in to help where needed.

Top Gun – Ofc. Todd Pacholke
Earned the highest score on the department’s qualifying pistol course.

    Recognized for his continued hard work and empathy toward citizens.

    Going above-and-beyond to improve citizen well-being.

    Successful disarming a suicidal person.
