Major Business Developments and Areas within Suwanee

Horizon Business Park
A 422-acre business park located at the intersection of Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road and I-85, Horizon Business Park was begun in 1989. It has been selected as a location for such diverse companies as Avon Products, Reckitt & Coleman, Visible Genetics, Shering Plough, Fisher Scientific, and Hussmann Corporation. Space currently available for lease ranges from 30,000 square feet to 167,000 square feet, and the business park can accommodate build-to-suit facilities ranging from 20,000 to 300,000 square feet.

Northbrook Business Park
A 292-acre business park located on Old Peachtree Road near I-85, Northbrook Business Park is home to such companies as Kubota Tractors, Volvo, OKI Telecom, and Anixter Corp. This fully landscaped business park was begun in 1985. It can accommodate build-to-suit facilities ranging from 10,000 square feet to 200,000 square feet; space currently available for lease ranges from 10,000 to 52,000 square feet.

Shawnee Ridge
Begun in 1988, Shawnee Ridge is a 587-acre commercial/light industrial/office development located about one mile north of I-85 along Satellite Boulevard; about 7,000 linear feet of the development fronts I-85. Thirty-five major tenants, including General Medical, GTE, NCR, and Systemax, are among the businesses that currently occupy the development. Shawnee Ridge has approximately 4 million square feet of Class A office/warehouse space, with approximately 460,000 square feet currently available. Many service-based businesses that cater to travelers as well as City residents are clustered around I-85's exit 111. Along and around Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road, numerous fast-food restaurants as well as dining establishments, including Applebee's, Cracker Barrel, Jeffrey's Sports Bar & Grill, and Outback Steakhouse, offer enough variety to satisfy almost anyone's hankering. And eight hotels -- Comfort Inn, Courtyard by Marriott, Days Inn, Fairfield Inn, Holiday Inn, Ramada Limited, Red Roof & Suites, and Sun Suites -- offer comfortable accommodations for visitors passing through or those staying put a little longer to visit friends and relatives or enjoy the many recreational opportunities available in North Georgia.
