Description
Sidewalk will connect the existing sidewalk at the Pierce Point neighborhood entrance to the Maple Terrace entrance to Avonlea Crossing neighborhood.
Anticipated Duration
Construction began in Winter 2016. Completion expected in late spring of 2017

Interstate 85 Toll Lane Expansion/Widening

Description
This is a Georgia Department of Transportation project. It includes the addition of 10 miles newly constructed toll lanes north of the existing I-85 Express lanes. In addition to the toll lanes, new auxiliary lanes are being added between SR 20 and Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road to provide better traffic flow. To view the project fact sheet click here. Road construction project on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard from Silver Peak Parkway (Stoneridge Neighborhood entrance) to Grand Vista Approach (Chattahoochee Run Neighborhood Entrance).
Description
Widening Peachtree Industrial from two to three lanes around the McGinnis Ferry intersection. Adding improved left turn lanes and deceleration lanes. Installing more traffic signage and on-street paint to improve vehicular and pedestrian safety. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2016.
Who
The project is a Gwinnett County Department of Transportation project with contractor E.R. Snell performing the work.
Cost
$3.87 million. The funding for the project comes from the 2014 SPLOST program.
