Senior Adult Programs

Good Timers members participate in the Mayors' Walk in Atlanta each April. Here, the group enjoys a visit to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens after the annual noncompetitive walk.

The Good Timers, a social club for individuals 55 and older, meets at 11 a.m. on the second Tuesday of each month in George Pierce Park’s community building. These gatherings include a short business meeting, lunch, and sometimes entertainment.

A warm, friendly group known for its good meals, Good Timers generally live in the Suwanee area, though the club is open to anyone. The club, which is operated through the Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation Department, has about 60 members.

For more information, call 770/945-7257.

Seniors and Lawmen Together

The Suwanee Police Department works with the local SALT (Seniors and Lawmen Together) Council and Triad program to reduce criminal victimization of older citizens and enhance delivery of law enforcement services to this population. For more information about this program, contact Sgt. Elias Casanas at 770/945-4607, ext.327, or elias@suwanee.com.
