Suwanee is home to several large, fully landscaped business parks offering Class A office/warehouse space, commercial/light industrial space, and acreage for future development. Each of Suwanee’s business parks—Horizon, Northbrook, and Shawnee Ridge—offers convenient access to I-85 and other important corridors.
In addition, Suwanee has adopted smart-growth strategies to create several mixed-use character areas, where office and retail spaces may be available. The Terraces at Suwanee Gateway is a multiuse project along I-85 that includes approximately one million square feet of proposed commercial, office, and hotel space as well as more than 400 residential units.
Among the national and international businesses that call the immediate Suwanee area home are Avon, Dish Network, Flowers Bakery, Google, Hewlett-Packard, Kubota Tractor, Mary Kay, and Mitsubishi Electric.
The City of Suwanee is committed to redeveloping its I-85 interchange area as an attractive, vibrant gateway that dramatically welcomes visitors to the City and residents home in a way that accurately reflects the high quality of the community that surrounds it. The City envisions an area with distinctive streetscaping, welcoming hospitality-focused businesses, alternative transportation routes, and improved pedestrian mobility.
The City’s plan of action is outlined in the I-85 Business District Competitive Assessment and Development Strategy Report. As part of its revitalization efforts, the City of Suwanee has enhanced code enforcement in the area, undertaken a streetscape program, and initiated a branding campaign.
