According to a recent analysis by STORAGECafé, Suwanee is performing well in terms of walkable, versatile development patterns and is among the best suburbs in America for city-like living.

The study ranked Suwanee #6 in the country, which studied more than 900 suburbs around the 100 most populated cities in the US. The study considered criteria such as crime rates, prevalence of restaurants and shopping, housing affordability, median household income, and public school rankings, with extra points given to suburbs with sustainable, mixed-use development that caters to various demographics.

Transportation options and the overall business environment were also considered, and only places with populations between 10,000 and 100,000 were studied.

Suwanee excelled in the areas of education, residential, and business sectors, with 42 businesses for every 1,000 residents, according to the analysis. The study also highlighted Suwanee's vibrant Town Center, eclectic festivals, and extensive nearby trail system, including the Suwanee Creek Trail, a 4.5-mile paved path through the woods.

Gwinnett County Public Schools was also noted as a significant factor in making it an excellent place to raise a family. Town Center Park's recent expansion, along with its cultural and entertainment amenities, were also highlighted.

Researchers used data from sources such as the US Census Bureau, Yardi Matrix, Department of Education, FBI, and Trust for Public Land to determine which suburbs offer the best combination of sought-after suburban atmosphere and the benefits of big-city living.
