The Suwanee Downtown Development Authority (DDA) continues to transform downtown Suwanee through dynamic partnerships and community-driven initiatives. Emphasizing its mission to "strengthen the economic viability of downtown Suwanee," the DDA has taken strides to bring vibrant and sustainable businesses to the heart of the city through the latest creative collaborations with THRIVE Coworking, Warm Waves Coffee and RAIK Mediterranean.
THRIVE Coworking is a design-forward co-working environment that encourages inspiration and collaboration. Its premier location is situated adjacent to Suwanee Town Center on the ground floor of Skye Apartments, a property owned by the DDA. The DDA, having acquired 10,000 square feet of ground floor mixed-use commercial space in the Skye apartment building on Buford Highway in December 2020, collaborated with THRIVE Coworking. In September 2021, THRIVE entered into a lease agreement with the DDA to develop the space, incorporating a second-floor mezzanine for an additional 2,344 square feet of office space. This collaborative effort enhances the appeal of THRIVE Coworking's prime location, creating an innovative and expansive workspace for the Suwanee community.
Located within THRIVE, Warm Waves Coffee is a unique coffee shop originating from Alpharetta. Opening to residents and visitors, Warm Waves Coffee will add to the community's vibrancy, creating a welcoming space to enjoy freshly brewed coffee and pastries.

On the ground floor of the adjacent SIENA apartments is the soon to be home of RAIK Mediterranean. Set to open early 2024, this culinary gem will focus on fresh, upscale Middle Eastern cuisine with vibrant flavors.
Chris Hardin, the Economic Development Manager, feels that “the DDA is committed to bringing desired, unique restaurants, gathering spaces, and amenities to downtown Suwanee. THRIVE, Warm Waves Coffee, and RAIK Mediterranean align with this vision, enhancing the growing downtown scene."
