On May 9, a dozen members of Suwanee Youth Leaders participated in the inaugural National School Redesign Showcase in Washington, DC hosted at the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg Center.

Throughout the past school year, these students from North Gwinnett, Peachtree Ridge, Collins Hill, Gwinnett Online Campus, and GSMST developed ideas and prototypes focused on the future of the high school experience. Through research, shadowing, surveys, and team meetings, the outstanding sophomores and juniors put together their proposals and pitched their ideas to the showcase organizers, who were so impressed that all three teams were invited to present their findings and ideas on the national level.
