The City-County Communications & Marketing Association (3CMA) has announced the City of Suwanee as the 2024 Savvy Award winner in the category of Printed Publications for its 2022 Annual Report, themed "The Office." The award was presented at the 3CMA Savvy Awards Ceremony held at the Loews Arlington Hotel on September 5.
The Savvy Awards, part of 3CMA’s Annual Conference, honor exceptional local government achievements in communications, public-sector marketing, and fostering relationships between residents and government. With over 1,100 entries across 38 categories, the competition recognizes the innovative work of city, county, and district professionals across the United States.
Suwanee’s "The Office"-themed 2022 Annual Report was praised by the 3CMA judges for its creative and engaging approach. One judge noted, "Even if you’re not an avid fan of The Office, this report was a gem! Fun idea, excellent graphics, and a clever way to take something not everyone loves to read and make it enjoyable."
The report, designed to mimic the popular TV show, used witty references, engaging graphics, and integrated videos to explain complex information. This fresh format proved a hit with both the judges and the Suwanee community.
In the same category, the Town of Vail, CO, earned the Silver Circle Award for their annual report, and the Town of Frederick, CO, took home the Award of Excellence.
This marks the third Savvy Award win for Suwanee, adding to previous accolades received for their annual reports in 2018 and 2022.
