A portion of the Suwanee Creek Greenway under the Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road bridge will temporarily close for work associated with GDOT’s Forsyth–Gwinnett Bridge Rehabilitation Project.

The entire Greenway is not closed. Users may continue to access and enjoy the trail from the various trailheads; however, they will not be able to pass through the construction area beneath the Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road bridge.

The section of the trail will be closed during the following periods:

• September 26 at 7 p.m. through September 28 at 6 a.m.
• October 3 at 7 p.m. through October 5 at 6 a.m.

The closure is necessary to keep trail users safely away from active construction while crews perform work on the bridge. Signs and barricades will be in place around the affected area.

These closures are part of the first phase of the project, with additional temporary closures anticipated during a future second phase. Dates and times are subject to change based on construction conditions.
