ORDER! Court is Now in Session at Suwanee City Hall
Suwanee Municipal Court Temporarily Moves to City Hall
The City of Suwanee Municipal Court will temporarily move across Town Center Park to City Hall beginning May 1 in order to make room for renovations – as well as an addition – to its existing building at 323 Buford Highway.
The almost 60-year-old building – Suwanee’s original city hall – will be receiving a much-needed facelift that is expected to significantly improve the court customer experience and create more space for court and police employees. The lobby will be expanded to accommodate court session crowds, court clerk work space will more than double, and new space will be constructed for the police Special Enforcement Unit.
Construction is anticipated to begin in late spring or early summer. A clerk will be stationed at City Hall to handle payments and routine questions. Court sessions will take place at City Hall as well; the day-to-day court functions will begin at the police station on May 6. Renovations are expected to be completed in early 2020. Questions regarding court during this time should be directed to Court Administrator Mariza Abdeljawad at 678-546-2134.
