Suwanee’s Harvest Farm opened in April 2010 as Georgia’s largest organic community garden. The garden features 128 raised beds in White Street Park, located in Suwanee’s Old Town Historic District.
With a mission of “Growing a Healthier Suwanee,” Harvest Farm serves as an educational resource for the community, offering classes and events related to gardening, organic living, sustainability, and other relevant topics.
The garden also continues to grow through community-led improvements, including a compost bin project led by Girl Scout Charlotte as part of her Silver Award—the highest achievement available to Girl Scouts at the middle school level. Charlotte selected the project to support both the environment and the community while expanding opportunities to learn about gardening and sustainable practices at Harvest Farm.
