Home MenuSuwanee Goes Out on a Limb for Art
When the dogwoods have bloomed and the azaleas have peaked, art pieces will be sprouting up along the city greenway, trails, and parks as Suwanee celebrates its annual finders-keepers Art on a Limb program.
A beloved Suwanee tradition, Art on a Limb is an award-winning, month-long program designed to celebrate the arts, as well as the natural beauty of the Suwanee parks and greenways. Since 2005, the city hides two pieces of original art daily throughout May on the Suwanee Creek Greenway, Brushy Creek Trail, White Street Park, or Sims Lake Park.
Past Art on a Limb pieces have included fairy doors, clay birds and orbs, gnomes, small canvas paintings, magnets, pottery, bird houses and clay stones.
This year’s featured artist, Ryan McDuffie, brings a fresh twist to the tradition with his incredible metal artwork, crafted from repurposed household items and junk. A skilled welder with nearly a decade of experience, Ryan finds joy in transforming unexpected materials—like silverware—into stunning works of art. His one-of-a-kind floral creations will be waiting for you along the trails, just begging to be found and given a new home!
If you are lucky enough to find one, that beautiful piece becomes yours – all we ask is that you send us a picture at adoherty@suwanee.com or tag us in your post on social media @cityofsuwanee! The more you visit, the more chance you have. Enjoy the hunt!
