Parks & Recreation

Downtown Suwanee is home to two signature park destinations.

Town Center Park features open green space, the Big Splash Interactive Fountain, public art, and event venues that host community celebrations throughout the year.

Just through the pedestrian tunnel, Town Center on Main & DeLay Nature Park adds nature trails, the Reading Grotto, gathering spaces, a hilltop waterfall, pedistrain bridge, and additional recreational opportunities. Together, the parks create a connected downtown experience that blends recreation, nature, and community.

Visitors can also enjoy PlayTown Suwanee, public art installations, and trail connections throughout the area.

The Story of Town Center

Suwanee Town Center grew from two community priorities: preserving open space and creating a vibrant downtown destination where people could gather, connect, and enjoy community life.

What was once a former industrial site has been transformed into a thriving mixed-use district that serves as the heart of Suwanee. The award-winning Town Center is a public-private partnership encompassing more than 63 acres, including the 40-acre Shadowbrook at Town Center neighborhood. Today, the district includes more than 100,000 square feet of retail space, 87,000 square feet of office space, 147 townhome and condominium units, 85 single-family homes, Town Center Park, and Suwanee's iconic City Hall, which opened in 2009.

Anchored by Town Center Park, the area embodies Suwanee's vision for a community where people can live, work, play, and gather. Over the years, Town Center has continued to evolve with new businesses, public art, community events, and recreational amenities that attract both residents and visitors.

In 2024, the opening of Town Center on Main & DeLay Nature Park marked the next chapter in that vision. The 25-acre park expansion introduced new gathering spaces, nature-based amenities, scenic overlooks, and a landmark 1,200-foot pedestrian bridge that strengthened connections throughout downtown while preserving the area's natural character.

Today, Town Center remains Suwanee's primary gathering place and a destination for parks, events, dining, shopping, and recreation—welcoming visitors from across the region to experience the community at its best.
