On April 20, 2020, Governor Brian Kemp issued an Executive Order allowing certain businesses to reopen in coming days. The Order states municipalities cannot put measures in place that are more or less restrictive than the Governor's Order and preempts all local emergency orders related to COVID-19.
The Order also makes the State of Georgia responsible for all aspects of implementation. As such, the City of Suwanee is not authorized to enforce neither our previous Orders nor provide you with interpretation or guidance on the Governor’s Order.
Please contact the Office of the Governor at firstname.lastname@example.org or 404-656-1776 for further information and guidance. For help with enforcement of the Order, contact the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office at 770-619-6500.
