The 6,000-square-foot brick building in Old Town – constructed around 1909 – is owned by the city’s Downtown Development Authority. The building is currently being renovated to house a new restaurant.

Martin Farm Road Bridge

The Martin Farm Road bridge replacement and detour is a Georgia Department of Transportation project (ID#0015618). Click here for project updates. The 240-foot replacement bridge will be more structurally sound, lessen flooding, and meet current design standards.

Main Street Park

Starting in early January 2026, the city plans to update the existing landscaping, resurface and update the basketball court, replace the wooden pavilion with a steel framed pavilion, replace the circular concrete and brick paver plaza with a grass lawn, and add some more sidewalks, seating, and parking.  The city hired contractor to CGS to complete the work which is set to take approximately 4 to 5 months to complete (depending upon weather).  Check here for project updates.
